What Song Are You Singing Today?
What’s getting most of your attention these days? What’s shaping your decisions? What song is your life singing?
In this message from our Jonah series, we looked at how even good things can take God’s place in our hearts. Responsibilities, relationships, and personal desires can pull our attention away from Him. Jonah’s prayer brings us back to a simple truth: salvation belongs to the Lord.
The sailors let go of valuable cargo to save their lives. Their story gives us something to consider: What are we holding on to, and what might God be asking us to surrender?
We also heard a spoken word piece about tending a loʻi, a picture of the care our hearts need. As we clear away pride and resentment, we make room for God’s grace to work in us and shape how we serve others.
Through it all, we’re encouraged to fix our eyes on Jesus. People will fall short. We will too. But we can keep turning to Him and remembering His mercy.
Listen to the message below, and take some time with the sermon notes and discussion questions. Talk it through with a friend or your ‘Ohana Group: What song is God calling you to sing?
